LIFE AT SMC SOUTH

Life Groups
Life groups are our small groups or home groups. A key verse for us is John 10:10 “I have come that you may have life and have it fully”
Life Groups are a chance for us to come together in actual homes for fellowship, food and fun. We take time to study God’s word, and to pray for and encourage each other. There is always Tea/Coffee and some tasty treats to enjoy also.
Our life groups run over 3 terms during the year and are based in Leopardstown, Deansgrange and Greystones.
We'd love for you to be part of a Life Group; sign up below and someone will be in contact with you soon!

KIDS CHURCH
We believe our children are gifts from God. Our hope is for each child to know they are loved, they belong, they are gifted and that God has a purpose for their lives. Kids church is a fun and engaging place for our kids to come to know and grow in the knowledge and love of God through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Kids church takes place every Sunday after worship.
We have 3 age group categories:
Pre-schoolers age 3-4,
Primary age 5-8 and 9-12
There is a creche area for parents to avail of with toddlers or babies
Kids church is led by the amazing Lilibeth.
Our Teams

HOSPITALITY
At SMC South, we believe it’s important for people to connect. After each service our wonderful hospitality team host the coffee bar. This is an opportunity to relax, enjoy some tea/coffee with a treat and get to chat and ask questions. We want people to feel relaxed and as if they are visiting with friends.
The wonderful Shade leads our Hospitality and if you would like to be part of her team, she will gladly chat to you about how to join.

CONNECT TEAM
We want church to be a place of welcome! Our connect team look forward to greeting you with a friendly smile and connecting with you after service.
Honor McAndrew, who has been part of St Marks congregation for over 35 years leads this great team and if you would like to join, she would be more than happy to chat to you about how you can connect with Connect.

PRAYER TEAM
We believe that prayer is key in maintaining our connection to God. The Prayer Team uphold the congregation, its ministries, and the community in prayer throughout the week. We seek to enrich the connection of the congregation to God through prayer and intercession. We are here to stand with you in prayer and to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
Alice leads our prayer team and is passionate about everyone reaching their potential in Christ. The team is available at the end of every service to pray with anyone who would like prayer for needs or needs prayers or counsel.

PASTORAL TEAM
Our Pastoral team is here to offer care and support in whatever way we can. We work closely with our leadership team to provide help to those in our church who may need emotional, spiritual or practical help. Our hope is that all who call SMC South home feel supported and loved.
We want to share God’s love with you both in word and action. Whether your need is a hospital visit, provision of meals during stressful times or just a phone call to chat, our pastoral team are ready to be God’s hands.

WORSHIP
The purpose of the Worship Team is to facilitate and lead the church in their worship of God through music. Through music, we believe in the importance of seeking to create a space where people can encounter the power and presence of Jesus! Song and music are one of the ways of doing this.
Eoin O’Neill and David McAndrew lead this team and if you would like to join, they would be more than happy to chat to you about how you can help.
